Position Description
This is a 12-week summer internship for the summer of 2023. It would start in May and conclude in August.

Currently, we are looking for an Operations Intern to join the ABF Freight team. Interns will gain exposure to equipment management, transportation coordination and operations planning.
Your Contribution May Include:
- Under supervision, assist in the planning, supervision, and control of available resources associated with the timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts.
- Gain understanding of load planning safety and maintenance.
- Assist in job task assignment according to unloading and loading schedules.
- Gain exposure to work assignment coordination, and performance monitoring.
- Provide a clean, safe working environment for all personnel and visiting customers.
- Foster safe handling, loading, unloading, and storage of hazardous materials.
- Collaborate to accomplish department goals.
- Support our values driven culture focused on creativity, integrity, collaboration, growth, excellence, and wellness.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
As an Operations Intern, you will be a member of the ABF Freight team in Denver, CO. This is a 12-week part-time paid internship position starting in May through the summer that will average less than 30 hours per week.
Ready to apply? Before doing so, please make sure you meet the minimum requirements:
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Part or Full-time student currently pursuing an undergraduate degree, preferably in a related field.
- Legally authorized to work full-time in the country of hire without sponsorship for employment.
