Parts Supervisor


Position Description


In general the Little Rock Parts Supervisor manages the purchasing, procurement, inventory and local distribution of all LIT maintenance related parts and supplies as directed bythe LIT Shop Superintendent.

Manage Little Rock parts inventory including:
  • Compile and place daily parts orders.
  • Receive parts orders and reconcile the inbound parts in the electronic parts inventory system.
  • Manage electronic parts inventory system as needed, including assisting other Supervisors with parts inventory system.
  • Arrange and oversee random inventory test counts generated by the electronic parts inventory system.
  • Monitor parts usage and interface with LIT Shop Superintendent to properly maintain adequate parts inventory levels to support the LIT Shop Operation.
  • Coordinate semi-annual physical parts inventory process for LIT.
  • Maintain organizational properties of physical parts storage areas.

Negotiate and manage bid process for pricing of parts purchased for LIT operation not covered by National Account Pricing.

Approve all parts invoices for LIT parts purchases.

Manage parts core process.

Directly supervise LIT parts clerk(s) and parts men.
