Teamsters Military Assistance Program
Start Your Career with ABF Freight
Because of your success in the U.S. military, we want you on our team!
Through the Teamsters Military Assistance Program (TMAP), we are creating job opportunities for Army personnel transitioning to their new civilian career. ABF Freight® is a proud partner in this initiative, training soldiers across the country for their Class A CDLs and getting them ready for a career in the less-than-truckload (LTL) freight industry. Training is currently available at Fort Carson, Colorado, and Fort Riley, Kansas.

How TMAP Works with ABF
Driver training is completed through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training. Our instructors prepare you for the work ahead, teaching you everything you need to know about the LTL freight industry, operating ABF equipment and customer service.
Along with having a safe driving record and written approval from their Commander, qualified candidates must be:
- At least 21 years old
- Currently on active duty and within 180 days of ETS
- Willing to relocate to an ABF Freight service center with a position available
- Able to meet DOT medical and drug screen requirements
Before applying for the Teamsters Military Assistance Program, please speak with your local Soldier for Life representative for more information.
